Founded in 1974, Tollcross Housing Association is managed by a voluntary Management Committee, which is supported by our Chief Executive, Leadership Team, Senior Management Team, and by our wider staff team of over 40 individuals working in Housing Services, Maintenance, Finance and Corporate Services. Tenants and customers are at the heart of our business and great customer experience drives our priorities, and together, our staff provide a wide range of housing services to customers within our 2,313 houses and flats in local communities in Tollcross, Carmyle, Lilybank and Newbank. In addition to providing factoring services to over 500 residential and commercial owners, we have recently set up a subsidiary to manage 12 mid-market rented properties.
We are a forward-looking organisation committed to continual improvement, and are seeking to recruit a like-minded, energised, highly motivated professional to fill this challenging and rewarding role.
This role is within our Finance Department and has been designed to ensure we continue to provide high quality factoring service information and an in-house recovery option to both factoring and tenant debts. You will have responsibility for a wide range of duties including reviewing title deeds, performing title searches, communicating with solicitors/trustees, preparing notice of proceedings for tenants, preparing paperwork to raise anti-social behaviour actions, preparing papers in relation to proof hearings and liaising with Sheriff Officers. You will be required to demonstrate your ability to work on your own initiative and be able to work under pressure with tight deadlines. A good knowledge of the Scottish social housing sector is necessary as is being well organised with excellent attention to detail.
The successful candidate will be required to operate in an environment which is subject to continuous improvement and change, therefore, a flexible and enthusiastic approach is necessary. Working as part of the finance team, but liaising with other departments, the role requires a reliable individual with high standards of accuracy, numeracy and attention to detail, along with excellent communication and IT skills.
