About this Event
Duty fo Candour Annual Report 2021-22
The Duty of Candour (Scotland) Regulations 2018 came into force on 1 April 2018. Organisations providing health services, care services and social work services in Scotland are required by law to follow The Duty of Candour Procedure when there has been an unintended or unexpected incident that results in death or harm (or additional treatment is required to prevent injury that would result in death or harm).
This legal requirement means that when things go wrong and mistakes happen, the people affected understand what has happened, receive an apology, and that organisations learn how to improve for the future. The legislation applies to Tollcross Housing Association and our Sheltered Housing Service at Methven Street and Orchard Court.
An important part of this duty is that we provide an annual report about the Duty of Candour and describe how our service has operated during the time between 1 April 2021 and 31 March 2022.
