We are celebrating International Women’s Day by celebrating the leaders who #InspireInclusion here at Tollcross HA.
Anne Wilson, Corporate Director, leads our equality, diversity, and inclusion commitment and with her wealth of experience and knowledge she ensures that this is embedded at every level of the Association.
Anne ‘fell’ into housing in the early 1990s and grabbed every opportunity to learn and develop. Anne feels lucky to have been mentored throughout the early days by strong male leaders, who championed her personal development.
Since then, Anne has seen many strong, competent, and compassionate women leaders in the housing sector. Grabbing the opportunity to learn from these leaders, Anne believes they helped her find a new perspective on the work that we do as social landlords, ‘it is rewarding and a privilege to be involved in making people’s living conditions and hopefully, their lives, better’.
Anne now uses all her experience and knowledge to mentor the next generation of leaders in housing. She is an inspiration for all at Tollcross and we feel lucky that she is one of us.
